In honor of International Ride of Silence, in support of a Better North Bridge

Critical mass memorial bike ride across the North Bridge with a police escort to champion this priority project, with a post-ride gathering at Holy City Brewing from 7-8 pm. This is a Charleston Moves signature event that embodies the critical, urgent nature of our advocacy, and we sincerely hope you will join us.

Following the ride, we'll convene at the brewery's marsh side patio for food, drinks and community. $1 from every Overly Friendly IPA sold will be donated to Charleston Moves, so please stick around to enjoy sips and bites with us!

Thank you to Bike Law for sponsoring this year's Mobility Month program, and to Michael Bannister D.D.S. and She Tris Sprint Triathlon for sponsoring this event!

IMPORTANT DETAILS:

  1. Completing our waiver is a requirement to participate in the ride. Please fill it out in advance HERE.
  2. The ride will begin and end at Holy City Brewing (1021 Aragon Avenue, North Charleston). The route is ~7 miles in total, and should take ~45 minutes to complete. We will have a police escort.
  3. We will start promptly at 6 pm, so you must arrive no later than 5:50 pm to check in. Please report to our table, which will be set up on the patio stage located on the marsh side of the brewery. Bike parking will be adjacent to the check in table. (see site plan below)
  4. For the safety of all, children under 12 must ride attached to a guardian, not on their own bike — consider a trailer or tandem bicycle. Otherwise, we hope you will join us after the ride; we should be back to Holy City Brewing around 7 pm.
  5. We strongly encourage you to ride your bike to the event. We are working to organize informal rides from downtown and Park Circle to Holy City Brewing. Stay tuned for details.
  6. If you cannot bike, walk or bus to the event, please carpool. Parking is extremely limited on site, as there is another event at the brewery that night. Folks can park along Aragon Avenue, including the spaces in front of Holy City Brewing and on Reece HVAC's property across the street. We have also been permitted to use The Middleton Group's parking lot, located around the corner at 4289 Spruill Avenue. (see site plan below)
